Pragathi was born on 17 April 1975 Ulavapadu, Ongole. She studied in Chennai & actor Mohan Babu was a drill master in her school.
Pragathi started her career as a model for Mysore Silk Palace. Later, she was introduced by Bhagyaraj.
She made her acting debut in 1994 with the film "Veetla Visheshanga", and signed Seven Tamil films & One Malayalam film as a lead actress.
She got married and three years after she returned to act in television serials.
Pragathi has worked in over 50 films in her career spanning nearly two decades, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
