Here are some tips for beginners wearing a saree:

  1. Choose a lightweight saree with a soft fabric for easier draping and comfort.
  2. Practice draping the saree at home with a mirror to get the hang of it.
  3. Wear a petticoat to make sure the saree stays in place.
  4. Start by draping the saree around your waist and then bring the end over your left shoulder.
  5. Make sure to tuck in the end of the saree securely at the waist.
  6. Drape the pallu (the part of the saree that covers the head and shoulders) over your left shoulder.
  7. Adjust the pleats and make sure they are neat and even.
  8. Accessorize with jewelry and a blouse to complete the look.
  9. Walk slowly and confidently to avoid tripping on the saree.
