7 Important tips to keep your Sarees Fresh after Usage

It is not just about buying the right sarees, but also maintaining sarees when not in use.

Saree maintenance

To maintain sarees fresh in a wardrobe, you should follow these steps:

  • Make sure the sarees are clean and dry before storing them.

  • Fold the sarees neatly and place them in a cotton or muslin bag. This will protect the sarees from dust and insects.

  • Avoid storing sarees in plastic bags as they can trap moisture and cause mold or mildew.

  • Keep the wardrobe in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

  • Rotate your sarees so that they have time to air out before being worn again.

  • Avoid storing heavy or bulky items on top of the sarees, as this can cause creasing or damage.

  • Iron the sarees before wearing them if needed.

Additionally, you can use lavender or neem leaves, or camphor to keep the moths away.
